The Mulliner division will celebrate Bentley's 100th anniversary next year with a Mulsanne special edition. It pays homage to the company's founding father, W.O. Bentley and includes a piece of one of his cars.
The model is purchased with a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. The influence of this car can be observed in the cabin. For example the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet houses an exhibit that has a part of the 8 Litre crankshaft on display inside.
W.O. is emblazoned in the shape of a B-shaped air vent on the chrome-colored application that runs across the back of the vehicle. The front grille is designed in 1930s-style Onyx, and there's an optional chrome finish around the lower spoilers to the left and right. The front grille has a unique design, with an aluminum shell that replaces the body-colored mesh of Mulsanne. bentley car key case has the Flying B Logo.
The key box is made of Bentley wings and features the lining of black flock. Key pouches on their own can be purchased to match or contrast the key box. The set commemorative includes an exact 1:18 scale model as well an aircraft-like "B" paperweight. The metal-to-metal knurling on this key fob mimics textures found in the interior, including the seat temperature controls and the shift knob. Van Braekel says, "We wanted to make the knurling as uniform and elegant" as possible. "It was also important to ensure the fob had in a shape and size that was easily identifiable."
Bentley Mulliner customers can specify any color in the Bentley portfolio for their Bacalar and any combination of veneers, hides and bespoke embroidery. Bentley's signature diamond diamond quilting is applied to the entire cabin and features almost 400k stitches. The lighting for mood can also be adjusted to suit different moods.
Outside, illuminated treadplates and clocks made of brushed silver are offered as standard. New 22in wheels are self-levelling Bentley logos.
